Right now, finding collectables requires constant manual searching across fragmented platforms. My idea flips that experience entirely.
Instead of asking users to log what they already own, this idea provides a visual master catalogue across (for example) music, comics, and figures to reveal hidden variants or rare releases.
In the background, the search engine scans multi-site listings, catching listings before anyone else and delivering instant alerts straight to the collector.
A&E waiting rooms are notorious for 'informational void' anxiety—patients sit for hours with zero visibility into their treatment, while overwhelmed staff spend half their time answering the same question: 'How much longer’.
My idea addresses this friction directly. Patients simply scan their standard wristband to see a live visual progress checklist—showing completed steps, pending lab results, and countdowns. It gives patients clarity and also lets families stay updated remotely without increasing staff workload.
Autograph collectors frequently risk hundreds of dollars using the wrong pen or placing signatures over busy artwork. A bad pen choice can permanently smudge, bleed, or ruin a rare piece of memorabilia.
My project solves this with a pre-signing visual planner. Collectors upload their item to digitally preview signature placements, test ink colours, and access material-tested pen recommendations.
It replaces messy sticky notes with an offline-ready digital spec guide—ensuring every signature is perfectly placed and archival-safe.
