For my final project I have to come up with a idea to pitch which solves a real world problem. To start this task of I identified problems which has effected me, family or my neighbours recently.
Below is a short list of ideas I noted down in a week for potential problems to solve:
Car Buying- tells the user dealer reviews/rating, tax, car reliability (are parts easy to replace/ known for common issues), type of belt (chain, wet or dry belt) - can have a section for people who have viewed the car (they are labelled as mint but covered in damaged not seen in photos)
Doctors - phoning doesn’t work as you can’t get through, you have to be at the doctor’s opening to request a triage call
Comic Con queuing system - make you wait a entire time slot with the queue not moving (over a hour) then give you a numbered ticket to return at the next time slot (that whole time would be time to do other things) the whole day I was in queues and had so much more planned I could have got done if the system was better. Can use a wristband system like Disneyland to check in - to ensure people don't bot or scan 100 queues the qr code can have a 30 minute timer before u can add another queue - to make sure people don't scan queues for no reasons there can be checkpoints in the queue to ensure you are actually there and not faking queues.
AirPlay - air playing a documentary I purchased and streamed to the TV - it seems 50/50 if it works - pausing completely cancels out the video - subtitles are distracting and won’t turn off even though it says on my phone (remote) they should be off
Hospital- live waiting times for A&E - online time slots so your not waiting all day (or even a time to show up) - book online and they give you alert/notice - you could be waiting 8 hours in the waiting room with risk of catching something else where you could wait 7 hours at home and head down and have to wait less time in the waiting room and still be seen on your set time.
