This lecture covered the timeline of this semester and all the important dates for deadlines. One important detail I noted was to come up with research questions for the week 4 pitch on my Dissertation idea.

Planning my Dissertation

In the lecture there was a series of tasks to get me thinking on ideas for a Dissertation first from a ‘problem’ point of view.

For this first task in groups we had to come up with something we like and use daily and a problem with it. After some talking we came up with YouTube, we enjoy watching videos but now when you skip an advert there is a small box of the same ad in the corner. I have experienced this lots recently and when trying to close it I have accidentally opened the ad link by accident on mobile.

Topic ideas

The next task was to individually brainstorm ideas related to interaction design or digital design.

• How digital photography has changed since 1975?
• The future of digital photography and editing? (AIs impact on editing the image)
• How AI impacts the environment?
• How your AI prompts affects the environment
• Will ai ever become sentient
• How will AI change our exciting jobs?
• What design tools will be used in the future?
• How much personal data is logged by my digital devices?
• Is there a better system for Hospital staff to track their patients progress? (what they need, what they have got already and where they need to go).
