To begin ‘Exploring Identity’ we looked over the induction which was similar to the inductions from week one.

During the induction it was covered what the main topic of this class will be, it will educate me on the core elements of a successful brand identity and how these are implemented in design projects. This is something I am familiar with as in college I have re branded and create my own brands including brand guidelines, web redesigns and logo creation.

A website mentioned in the induction was ‘Handshake’ which I have now signed up for which was mentioned this website will be very important for next year for employers to hire students.

Another website mentioned was called ‘Brand New’ which is a subscription based site which we will be provided with free access later. This website look like it will be of great use for branding projects in ‘Exploring Identity’.


Task

For this task I had to:

  1. Produce a personal persona for my identified target audience
  2. Do competitor analysis.
  3. Observe in context
  4. Interviews

To complete this task me and my classmate first went around banks in Belfast City Centre to get photos of the banks branch, and to find possible people to interview which we quickly figured out that it is mostly older people inside the banking branches.
