Usability is a quality attribute that accesses how easy a user interface is easy to use. Usability is defined by five different components, learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors and satisfaction.
Usability involves
This section of the class I found very interesting was the story of how ‘Bad UX Killed Jenny’. Which in this story the Nurses didn’t know how to use the bad UX which ended up killing Jenny as they forgot her treatment as the UX was confusing and couldn’t find reminders.
Another example of usability testing is how people hold their phones, which holding it in different ways makes different parts of the screen.

I found this diagram very interesting to visualize this which I usually hold my phone in my right hand but do often flick between these. In the lecture it said the trick for good design is following the thumb zone as it is most accessible to users.
