This week covered how to create personal brands and how to do it effectively. This week was very useful for me as I knew this would be coming up in second year so it was good to prepare for this.
From this lecture I understand that I will need to create a personal brand but I will ensure my logo and word mark are simplified so they are rememberable and aim to create a monogram. However there are other options I can use the main thing I will focus on is creating a simple brand marks.
I also really liked the idea of sending something physical, which is very presentable and designed nicely as this would ‘wow’ the employer and make you stand out from anyone else. My lecturer said he done this and it worked so this is something I would be keen on doing.
As it is a personal brand I have to create I need to make sure my personality will reflect in it through colour, type and brandmarks so I have some careful thinking to do over the summer. This is to ensure that when I return for second year I can apply this to my CV I will be creating.
