This was the final lecture for playful interactions which was also the final critique.

I first showed my ‘visual’ and gave context to who my user is, my idea and what feature it has. During this I was recommended on making the glasses less chunky which was something I was planning on I was just prioritizing my ‘AI Credits’ on developing new content.

Feedback for my smart home I was recommended to make things in general bigger such as text, icons and images. Related to this I was recommended to redesign my welcome page as previously I had buttons stacked in rows of two, centred in a square shape which was centred.

In this feedback I was asked why I had it the way I did which I explained that having too much in a row could make it hard to scan your eyes from right to left. However I seen it as if the design will always stay centred when you move your head. However in the critique I realized I could have it that you can turn your head/ move around to read content. So this explained the new feedback to make the ‘welcome’ menu more spread out and not stacked.

In my design I was praised for the transparency of the smartglasses UI, for example the notifications as this prevents any hazards for example if you have a pet you can still see them.

I was also asked if I will include a voice which I said I plan to but as my Figma is funny I will have to do it by video.

One of the key takeaways was that ‘white on white’ is hard to read. This comes by my white text on the grey gradient backgrounds. I will make sure to adjust this and probably use more of the green I have been using for the notification reminders .

Something I cant really add into a Figma Prototype but is a nice idea is to maybe include vibrations for warnings, this could lead back to the pet thing maybe if your cat is standing in the pathway of the navigation system

Overall I am very happy to get some constructive feedback from both my lecturer and Tim and Gabe from Little Thunder. I am going to try to apply it all and complete the rest of my story before the deadline on 06/05/2026. I am just worried as I have a busy weekend but I will try to fit work into these days as it is essential.
