This week is the Critique for my music player app which for this, I was more focused on getting the different screens and layouts done for my music player as the illustrations would take me longer to get ready.

One thing I wasn't sure of, but I included in my music player for feedback was the bone icons which my lecturer really liked them and said I could use it more, such as making arrows out of the bones. This was actually on my original sketches which when I make a quick mock up it did look too messy. However now I know that the bones work, I can refine the designs more and maybe make more variants if necessary (However I worry as this may be too much and make it less consistent).

It was also mentioned on how I can possibly remove the underline of what menu is selected, I will experiment with this but I feel like the underline helps make it clear where the user is.

I was also told that on pages such as the ‘events’ I can add more colour rather than using the red all the time, this was something I was actually thinking about. I may also do this in my search page and podcasts.

Overall I am quite happy with my feedback, I have some improvements to make and some things to experiment with to enhance my work. For the ‘half way point’ I think I am doing very well which once I get my illustrations made it will really boost the ‘Elfman’ elements in my design.
