This week there was no lecture, but there was a Talent hub event, talk with designer Kezie, tutorial feedback and a industry panel.

Talent Hub

Firstly was the talent hub event, which I got talking with different industry professionals such as Big Motive, Liberty and some other company's I found interesting such as RENDR which I was at their most recent event.

While this was not for placements it was still great to chat with those in the industry which was a great opportunity for me to learn more about different companies and find those I was not aware of originally.

Guest Talk: Kezie

Next in this day was a guest talk from designer Kezie. Kezie described herself as being a ‘fun’ designer so her talk was very interesting as it greatly related to this module. Something I thought was really cool was that she has done work for Pokemon. Opportunities like this would be absolutely fantastic and not really something I would think of.

Feedback

As I am off for two weeks for Easter I wanted to get some feedback for my idea and to get a general idea of where I should be for returning after Easter. During this I gave a quick brief of my idea again and showed where I was at, which I had just completed my storyboards.

I said it might be quite similar to my SDG project where I have to ‘fake it to make it’ in the sense that it wont be fully interactive but rather displaying how it will function. As of course I am not going to be able to make a AR experience in Figma with a nice clean flow, it will probably be more of a slideshow type design what is interactive.
