This week introduced the second set of content of this module which is exploring visualizing data. In other words taking data and make it visually appealing.
In the lecture there was many different artists listed who create visualized data, I found these very inspiring as visualizing data is something very new to me. I do worry about having to create data illustrations as I am not great with maths and this seems like a big part of data, as it does need to be accurate. However I am sure I can use AI to help with converting numbers etc or whatever it may be.
I really liked the Apollo design which showed all the different ships which has went to the moon, I decided to research this which I found a really cool website which has a animated sequence and different perspectives of this piece. I also found that the designer is called Paul Button. I think this is the perfect example of making data visually appealing as the overall shape of this design is very cool and you may not even know its holding data if you just glanced at it.

There was also examples of bad data presentation which was by Apple which they created a 3d pie chart of the most popular phones, which theirs was not the biggest. So they took their slice and it was like they moved it closer to the camera to make themselves look bigger than what they were. There was also numbers what were bigger than theirs but their slice was still larger. So I will make sure not to create anything like this.
This week I have learned how to visualize data and how and what it can look like. I think this is a really cool idea to create something visually appealing while containing data and facts. This type of design is new to me so I am excited to try it out.
